Hypermedia is building a new concept in audio news and entertainment which synthesizes the most relevant news, podcasts, music and more, into an infinite scroll of audio shows.

We’re looking for a world-class engineers to join our founding team to deliver on the mission of making listening personal and interactive.

We need an engineer to own development for our Creator Studio, the backbone of Hypermedia’s audio content. Its goal is to unleash the power of generative AI to boost human creativity and extend into frontier areas of personalization. We use it internally to curate, edit and publish content on the platform in real-time and eventually it will likely become an external tool that publishers and creators use to publish content on Hypermedia.

Job requirements

• MSc/BSc in Computer Science
• experience with working in a fast pace software development environment
• good abstract thinking, ability to triage and remediate issues in complex software
• in-depth knowledge of at least two programming languages: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C/C++
• flexibility across the stack: front-end (web), back-end, databases
• good product sense and ability to design and implement end-to-end solutions with little product specification
• hacker mindset, with high degree of autonomy, initiative and ownership

Location

We’re based in San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle and prefer collaborating in-person in those two locations. However, we can accommodate remote locations if needed.
